Bio: Stu Phillips has had a long and varied career in music. His first professional job was as a copyist for the Milton Berle Texaco Hour. Later, he went on to produce records, including several gold records, for "Blue Moon" with the Marcels, "Johnny Angel" with Shelley Fabares, and "Goodbye Cruel World" with James Darren. Stu also worked as a composer on the Donna Reed Show, a few "Gidgets", and The Monkees. In the '60's and early '70's he also composed music for approximately 15 motion pictures, including "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls", "Macon County Line", "Ride the Wild Surf" and others. In 1974, he began working at Universal Studios, composing music for The Six Million Dollar Man pilot, followed by McCloud, Quincy, Switch, The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Knight Rider, and others. Later, at 20th Century Fox, he scored 96 episodes of The Fall Guy, plus Masquerade, Automan, and the Highwayman. Among his other TV credits are Spiderman, Chicago Story, and Along Came Bronson. Stu has been nominated for four Grammy awards (one for Battlestar Galactica). He is currently a member of the Motion Picture Academy (AMPAS), the Television Academy (ATAS) and the Recording Academy (NARAS).
