The "Queen Mary", of course, is the famous ocean liner now permanently docked in Long Beach, California. It's only steps away from the Carnival Pier, so getting to the "Paradise" is very simple. If you are arriving the Sunday before GALACTICRUISE is due to depart, you'll be sure to want to stay at this historic landmark.

The Queen Mary played an important role in World War II, serving as a meeting place for both U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill during the war years. Most notably, it served as a carrier for troops making their way to Europe to engage in the struggle for the continent. When the ship was finally taken from service, it made it's way to Long Beach. The ship itself hosts a hotel, various shops and restaurants, along with it's various tourist attractions.

The Pre-Cruise Dinner.

We are happy to announce our pre-cruise celebrity dinner! This will be served aboard the luxurious Queen Mary.--the ultimate Queen of the sea-- before we launch our historic journey. This event will be on the evening of Sunday September 14th, 2008. We will be dining in the ambiance of the beautiful Capstan room aboard ship.

Our menu will consist of the following: 

The starter caesar salad with your choice of dressing.

Our entrée will consist of succulent broiled breast of chicken served with Alaskan crab meat and Asparagus tips with bernaise sauce.

(For our Vegetarians we serve: Vegetables en croute -- Medley of garden vegetables wrapped in flaky puff pastry with fire-roasted bell pepper sauce served over wild rice.) 

Our side is a chef's choice of vegetable, rice, potato or pasta, served also with bread and tea and coffee.

For dessert we are offering a marbled cheese cake, bathed in your choice of blueberry or strawberry topping.
